TruEffect opt-out explanation updated

April 16, 2009

Some (potentially) new material showed up today on the TruEffect privacy pages.  There’s a nice detailed explanation of how their opt-out cookie works, and it is a non-unique cookie (our favorites!).

Also I particularly like the way that TruEffect puts a prominent “Optout” link on the very top of their home page, rather than burying it several layers deep under the privacy policy.

The cookies still operate under the adlegend.com domain.  I am not sure whether these are separate companies or just legacies of prior brands, and have no time to research it today — too busy working on privacychoice 2.0!
